Alex Mandossian’s Surprise Appearance At T. Harv Eker’s Guerilla Business Intensive

July 12th, 2008

Alex Mandossian made a surprise appearance at T. Harv Eker’s Guerilla Business Intensive 5-day event in Singapore from 25th - 29th June 2008.

The event was attended by around 1,800 participants from Singapore as well as all around this region: Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan China, etc.

The Guerilla Business Intensive (GBI) is an amalgamation of two courses: Guerilla Business School and the World’s Greatest Marketing Seminar… which is a special rendition concocted for T. Harv Eker’s training in Asia! What a blessing we enjoy over here!

Along with Alex Mandossian, another guest trainer Joel Roberts won the hearts of the participants as he shared on the language of impact and how the proper articulation of your marketing message makes the difference between good and great. (But that’s another story from this altogether :-)

Alex conducted three sessions altogether for the greater half of one of the five days covering web copywriting secrets, teleseminar secrets and the most beneficial, in my opinion, a website makeover session in the evening…

He reviewed several websites volunteered by the participants and the major take away is this:

  1. What action do you want your 1st time visitors to take?

Is it to leave their name & email address? Is it to buy something? Download something? Or in the case of physical products you’re promoting, to get a sample of your offering.

  2. What action do you want your repeat visitors to take?

Through his makeovers, he further stressed the importance of capturing names and email addresses and building a list for the purpose of back end marketing.

‘WordPress’ Accelerated Affiliate Marketing Seminar in Penang: 10-11th May 2008

July 12th, 2008

ST830130.JPG

On 10th & 11th May 2008, I conducted the first ever Accelerated Affiliate Marketing workshop at Hotel Vistana in Penang…

The purpose of this workshop is to help participants set up a professional Wordpress blog on their own domain in order to market affiliate products of their choice.

Attended by around 30 participants, we covered a lot of ground in 2 days. And more than one-third signed up for the follow-up mentoring workshops to continue their momentum in their journey to building their business online using the powerful Wordpress platform.

However, the workshop was not a bed of roses as I met with a rather unusual issue of uploading graphics using the image uploader that comes with the latest Wordpress version 2.5 at that time.

I had to search the forums and together with the support of my business partners back in Singapore, we managed to find a workaround for the participants. Phew! Talk about Murphy’s law.

Apart from Wordpress blogging, the other major highlights of the workshop were long tail keyword research and article marketing using a instant article writing formula to write articles within minutes. In addition, we also covered  how to write a product review as well on some Web 2.0 concepts.

Day 3 of Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits Seminar LIVE in Orlando

June 30th, 2008

Day 3 started with some ‘bad’ news… some ‘good’ news… and then some ‘bad’ news again…

I was truly looking forward to the appearance of Janet Switzer, who co-authored ‘The Success Principles’ with Jack Canfield as well as instrumental behind many successful campaigns such as media and direct mail behind many renowned celebrity entrepreneurs including Mark Victor Hansen.

As I went straight into the seminar hall (grabbing a few nuggets to fill my stomach along the way from another room where breakfast was served), I quickly grabbed a chair at a partially populated round table.

As we waited…

Minutes passed.

Then more minutes passed… till the MC, Tom McCarthy announced that Ms Janet Switzer was unable to make it. That was quite disappointing but on the hand, we made up with an excellent business networking game that Tom conducted for the participants where I picked up a ton of gems and resources from them (including an exclusive membership club for free - talk about the power of networking!)

But the above is not the ‘good’ news I was talking about…

And then we had Jay Abraham come on after the break. Instead of a lecture style presentation, Jay did a question and answer session for an hour and a half giving answers to specific marketing problems. Needless to say, I benefited a great deal by taking in experiences of other extremely successful participants. One example was a participant who built a lead generation company in four years, generating $30 million!

And then we had a great, sumptuous lunch as usual but this time sponsored by a company who had us sitting and making a 45-minute presentation (well, that’s the price of our lunch :-)

And now the ‘good’ news:

In the original schedule, the next presenter (the 2nd last speaker in the seminar) after lunch was Gary Vaynerchuk - a well know russian-immigrant social media wine maven. And then, I had to leave after that to go to the airport, which means that I had to miss the last speaker, John Carlton who’s known as the greatest copywriter alive!

As I already missed John’s small pre-workshop (where all the participants said was FANTASTIC!!! because I chose to attend Mike Filsaime/Jeff Walker’s pre-workshop instead), I was eagerly looking forward to John’s presentation…

And then they made the announcement that due to some rearrangement (whatever that means), thank GOD that John Carlton will be coming on right after lunch! And I managed to stay for most of his session before hopping onto the shuttle bus from Disney World to the airport in Orlando. Phew! Not so bad after all after missing Janet Switzer…

John Carlton’s 17 point menu to writing kick-ass copy was awesome! He went through headlines, bullets, building outrageous value… all the way to the close and again, I picked up another ton of gems!

Now, for the final ‘bad’ news…

Remember that Gary Vaynerchuk, the wine maven, who became the last speaker whose session I missed?

After I came back to Singapore, I got email from various people that Gary is a fascinating speaker and was even the dynamo behind Rich Schefren and Jay Abraham’s Maven 4-day bootcamp that continued right after the main seminar. So, the thing is this… in life, you NEVER know what you missed!

Day 2 of Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits Seminar LIVE in Orlando

February 26th, 2008

Day 2 of Rich Schefren’s seminar was an exciting line up of speakers including Jeff Walker of Product Launch Formula fame as well as Frank Kern who is on everyone’s lips because of Mass Control…

Here’s a short update:

  1. Paul Scheele - a speaker, author and human development consultant - gave an amazing session on how to tap into 90% of our mind. His presentation was crystal clear, touching on topics like the two schools of thought of hypnotics and others… as well as leading us through various simple yet effective exercises that bring out the best from our minds
  2. Jeff Walker - an expert on Product Launch Formula, launced 2.5 years ago. His brother, John Walker as well as his parents were present during his excellent presentation where he explained how our story and sequence matters in launching a product. And most interesting of all, he’s launching Product Launch Formula 2.0 in the next 48 hours and it had to succeed big time - otherwise, how credible will the product be? In fact, he’s considering either one of two items to lead this BIG launch: either testimonials of regular guys who made good money using his original PLF OR… a cool 75 min. video of he and guru friends (like Frank Kern) disclosing secrets … The audience voted for the second option… let’s see :-)
  3. Tom McCarthy - a business consultant for many Fortune 500 companies like Cisco - gave us a wonderful presentation on leadership like none that I’ve seen before.  His principles and communication techniques opened up a whole new world of possibilities and I can’t wait to apply them …
  4. Frank Kern - the much talked about MASS’ter since launching Mass Control several weeks ago! This guy is really COOL, with his good looks and charisma plus an amazing marketer. He shared on CORE INFLUENCE, which he said upon which Mass Control is built upon. After explaining what he called a WEIRD SCIENCE, he walked us through an exercise that took him 4 hours to do (oh we didn’t do it there, of course) that literally brought him millions of dollars after his personal life makeover! (He grossed more than $23 million in launches for himself and other internet marketing gurus last year!)

Tomorrow is going to be even more exciting…

… as I look forward to Janet Switzer’s presentation on product development and Jay Abraham’s session! So, that’s it for Day 2 of Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits Seminar LIVE in Orlando, and stay tuned for more updates.

Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits Seminar LIVE: Mike Filsaime’s sharing on Gary Halbert’s wisdom…

February 26th, 2008

Yesterday, during his last public talk, Mike Filsaime shared about what he learned about testing from Gary Halbert, an infamous copywriter who passed away last year, 2007.

Many years ago, when Mike Filsaime asked Gary Halbert what to test - is it the copy, the headlines, the font size, etc to which Gary rebutted that those things don’t matter…

… What really matters was the ‘offer’!

So, here’s Mike’s SECRET:

  1. What are they going to get? And how are you going get them?
  2. What are they going to pay? And how are they going to pay you?

In fact, Rich Schefren posted a video clip that says it all about Mike Filsaime’s sharing of Gary Halbert’s secret on his blog:

Mike Filsaime delivered last public talk at Rich Schefren’s seminar

February 25th, 2008

ST830045.JPGAt Day 1 of Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits Seminar at Orlando, USA, Mike Filsaime deliverd his last public talk.

According to him, this speaking gig had taken away his attention from growing his company which did $4.7 million last year. He rather focus on growing his company much more than speaking for a million bucks a year!

Day 1 opened with 3 speakers by Tom McCarthy:

ST830042.JPG- The ‘guru of gurus’ himself: Rich Schefren who delivered an awesome session, giving a summary for his incredible last 18 months, walking through the original Internet business manifesto (that took the Internet marketing world by storm), then the Missing Chapter, the Final Chapter… the Attention Age Doctrine… Maven Matrix Manifesto… plus his videos. His CLARITY is truly awesome and point blank I must say!

- Mike Filsaime, in his ‘farewell’ speech covered FIVE ways to increase onine profits using a CLEAR and NICE graphic (was he following in the format of Rich’s copyrighted manifeston graphic?)… integration marketing as well as a thorough dissertation on viral marketing. Probably due to his last appearance, he was running over his allocated time, leaving no break before the next speaker …

ST830046.JPG- MaryEllen Tribby: CEO of over 20-million business ‘Early To Rise’ business (an arm of 300-million Agora powerhouse) gave a lot of contents on direct marketing fundamentals as well as multi-channel marketing. It was an eye opener and MaryEllen drew lots of praises from the audience.

I’m eager to look towards Day 2 where Paul Scheele, Jeff Walker, Tom McCarthy and Frank Kern will be speaking… just hoping that there will be no information overload :-)

Anyway, I was glad to be at Mike Filsaime’s last public talk… a rare event where he received a standing ovation in just casual T-shirt and jeans!

Rich Schefren’s Stategic Profits Seminar LIVE in Orlando, USA

February 24th, 2008

This is the eve of Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits LIVE seminar - NEW BEGINNINGS 2008 - in Orlando, featuring 11 internet marketing experts from Mike Filsaime, Jeff Walker, Jay Abraham, Frank Kern, John Carlton and others … (details at http://www.StrategicProfits.com/live1)

… Here at Walt Disney World, it’s ONE place on the planet where CAPITAL ‘M’ does not stand for the familiar Big ‘Mac’ but for ‘Magic Kingdom’, ‘Mickie’, ‘Minnie’. In fact, I just got back from an interesting dinner with Mickie, Minnie, Pluto and Donald not long ago… it’s ‘magical’ for me to be here, totally unexpected as I first heard about this seminar just two weeks ago :-)

Today I attended a workshop by Mike Filsaime/Jeff Walker today - it’s COOL!

As you probably know, Jeff Walker is the Product Launch Formula guru – he was the man behind John Reese’s 1 million dollar launch of his Traffic Secrets. Jeff is really quick thinking and he could carve a ’story’ for your product right in front of you in minutes - you better get pen and paper ready and begin to scribble down notes as quickly as you can. (I was writing at the speed of light just now!)

Now it’s way past midnight here and I can’t wait to meet Frank Kern in person as well as Rich Schefren’s Strategic Profits LIVE seminar - NEW BEGINNINGS 2008. Tomorrow is going to be exciting for me - and of course, I’ll keep you posted as soon as I can find the time to breath. Feel free to leave your comments about this seminar.

My Internet Marketing BIG PICTURE …

February 15th, 2008

It has taken me much longer to write about my Internet marketing BIG PICTURE …

… you probably won’t be surprised that I was busy attending another seminar last month: T. Harv Eker’s Life Directions where nearly 1,000 people attended in Singapore.

Are they lost souls? Absolutely not! These are, in my opinion, one of the finest people around, people who are willing to invest their time, money and effort just to discover their very own mission and vision. But that’s not the topic for this post. If you’re keen, drop me a mail and I’ll do my best to reply to you at roger AT rogerloh DOT com.

So, back to today’s topic: What the heck is really Internet marketing?

When I started two years ago, it was very challenging for me too in the beginning as well as for every newbie unless one is very clear on what they want to do. However, most people are not in business and therefore, though this is an excellent opportunity to reflect on what to do, have difficulty to choose.

Essentially, my Internet Marketing BIG PICTURE is this:

Step #1: Find a niche market to build your online business

Step #2: Take FOCUSED action to get your online business up

Step #3: Continue to tweak and grow your business

Step #4: OPTIONAL (More on this later …)

So, here’s my take on how to choose your niche:

- Identify 5 to 10 passions

- Identify 5 to 10 things you’re good at

- Ask a few friends to tell you what you’re good at

From there, you can boil down to the 1 to 2 things that you really want to zero in … and then that’s when you need more research online and offline.

For online research, you can go to:
- Amazon
- eBay
- www.magazines.com
- forums
- Google groups

Basically, you want to check out what problems people are facing. Once you know their problems, it’s easy to offer them solutions (disguised as products).

For offline research, go to the book stores as well as the local library. There are tons of information to be found.

The next thing is to do keyword research to confirm that there is demand for what you want to offer. Use these free tools offered by WordTracker and Google Adwords respectively:

1)      http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com
2)      https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

It will give you an indication of the demand for your niche.

You also need to research for the competition by going to the search engines and checking out a few things like:

1)      How many websites are offering this information? And how much FREE information are offered? If too much
of this are FREE online, how can you sell at a profit?

2)      How many competitors are advertising Google AdWords? This will give an idea of how profitable your niche is.

I hope the above can help you to decide on what you want to do as soon as possible. This is a very important stage and if you don’t do this quickly, you’ll be stuck. It’s better to get started … this is what I learn from a powerful speaker:

“Sometimes, we have to jump first and then grow our wings down!”

Once you’ve selected your niche, it’s time to move on to Step #2:

You can start blogging and better still, build your list! The list takes time to build, so the earlier you start, the more profits you will make sooner. That’s one of the key secrets of the gurus - having a responsive and big list.

While building your list, you can now focus on what business model to choose – affiliate marketing or information publishing, for instance. Or even Internet MLM!

And of course, you can create your own product like e-book, e-course, teleseminar or even videos. Talk is easy and talk is cheap, these things take time to build. And, do remember that you’re building a business, not just a web site. That, to me, is very key as many Internet marketing newbies simply give up by blogging for a while, or building a few web pages!

Oh yes, I almost forgot … one last thing – IMPORTANT!

When I was new to this, I figured out something that changed my paradigm forever as far as niche selection is concerned.

Here’s the SECRET to Step #4:

*** You can choose MORE THAN ONE niche!

I hope you’ve got an AHA moment there.

When I realized that, I have no issue choosing say dog training, get started on it, then 6 months or a year later, choose another niche, say dating and work on it. Now I have 2 businesses. So, step #4 will be:

Step #4: OPTIONAL - Repeat steps #1 to #3

The idea is to choose something, work on it till you see some results … and of course, you continue building since it is a business! And then, you can choose another niche if you want. Nobody said that we must stop at one. And that paradigm shift had helped me went over this first challenge. But still, you must finish step #3 before going on to step #4.

Let me repeat my 4 steps that describe my Internet Marketing BIG PICTURE here:

Step #1: Find a niche market to build your online business

Step #2: Take FOCUSED action to get your online business up

Step #3: Continue to tweak and grow your business

Step #4: OPTIONAL - Repeat steps #1 to #3

(If you need help getting started, do check out our coaching classes for newbies http://rogerloh-recommends.com/bis.)

Talking about multiple streams of income, personally, I’ve done that for TWO niches (and currently into my third niche):

1) Internet Network marketing niche:

http://www.NewNetMarketingSecrets.com

http://www.InternetMLMSecret.com/book

2) Easy e-Series, a portal style niche:

I wish you success in finding your own niche and BIG PICTURE and do leave me any comments here!

Make money online through Internet marketing: Reflections of 2007

January 1st, 2008

On this 1st day of 2008, firstly, let me wish you and your family a BLESSED and ABUNDANT New Year!

First, here’s a quick reflection of my Internet marketing journey in 2007:

In 2007, though not as much as in 2006, I still attended a number of Internet marketing seminars mainly here in Singapore and a couple in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia:

Yes, I’ve certainly picked up much information along the way - specific information on how to perform certain tasks. In fact, these techniques and skills as well as marketing knowledge that I learned along finally culminated in creating my own products (not Private Label Rights or PLR) that were launched online beginning with ‘New Network Marketing Secrets’ in the mid-2007.

If you’re a newbie - someone who is especially in the first 6 months of Internet marketing - here is what I like to share with you…

From when I started in March 2006 - almost 2 years now - I realize that the most important thing is to understand the BIG PICTURE first before plunging into the specifics…

… like one speaker said before, Internet marketing is like a giant jigsaw puzzle in which there’s no way for a newbie to get all the pieces in one go.

But then, the BIG PICTURE is the most important piece to start with. For instance, try throwing away the box of a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle that contains the completed picture of the puzzle and begin putting the pieces together. I guarantee you will take double, triple or even a longer time to assemble the puzzle.

So, watch out for my next post which I’ll share with you my perspective of the BIG PICTURE.

If you have any views or feedback, please feel free to leave your comments.

T. Harv Eker LIVE in Singapore: Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar

November 23rd, 2007

T. Harv Eker’s world-famous 3-day Millionaire Mind Intensive was held from yesterday, 23rd to 25th November 2007 at the Singapore EXPO.

For The First Time In Asia, approximately 5,000 participants attended Day 1 of the 3-day event.

Out of around 20 seminars I attended over the last one year plus, I dare say NOTHING ever comes close in terms of the energy, contents and hands’ on workshop approach that Harv and his fellow instructor adopted in helping us rewire our money blueprint - which he says is responsible for our financial condition - over the weekend.

I’m really GLAD that I did not miss out on this one invaluable seminar. Frankly, throughout the whole day, I envied those who are in their 20’s or even 30’s who are present. With so much time ahead of them and if they follow the teachings, they will become FINANCIALLY FREE in a few short years!

Just on Day 1 alone, I learned an invaluable technique of money management consisting of the use of 6 jars - much like that described in “The Richest Man in Babylon” - which will lead to financial freedom.

T. Harv Eker really pinpointed that:

FINANCIAL FREEDOM (or INDEPENDENCE) is achieved when PASSIVE INCOME exceeds EXPENDITURE!

He teaches us to get ourselves FINANCIALLY FREE as fast as possible through various methods like investing and businesses (especially becoming a FRANCHISOR, not franchisee as well as network marketing) so that we can have the TIME FREEDOM to invest more and build even more businesses … creating a positive UPWARD SPIRAL!!

And I’m soooo glad that our newly created US$50K Blueprint is based on the exact same principles of T. Harv Eker (Is that a coincidence?)  For a copy of this blueprint, visit:
=> http://www.AutoProfit-TEAM.com/blueprint
I can’t wait for Day 2 which is just less than 8 hours from now …
